Marketing Assistant

Primary Role & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates monthly Newsletter publications (content planning, editing, scheduling, etc.)
  • Coordinates with HR to ensure that distribution lists are up to date
  • Collaborates with Marketing Coordinator to ensure that the Group’s Intranet is updated periodically to ensure that it promotes GMMI’s brand and services within the group.
  • Assists Marketing Coordinator and VP of Marketing with concept and execution of content publishing (ie. advertisements, website, and email campaigns).
  • Provide design for collateral, web, and other visual communications media for the company.
  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating strengths in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
  • Maintains travel and conference schedule
  • Works collaboratively with Marketing Coordinator and VP of Marketing to support internal events.
  • Supports the VP of Marketing and Marketing Coordinator with Client Conferences.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud with emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator
  • Social Media Savvy: LinkedIn Company Page Management, Showcase Pages, Lead Forms & Marketing LinkedIn Tools
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of Email Campaigning: emailing platforms such as and/or similar to Constant Contact, Mailchimp
  • Website development skills – including code knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) preferred.
