This position accurately reviews claims according to the travel protection plans. In this position, one will either pay, send for a second review, or request additional information so that the claims may get finalized in a timely manner.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review claim documentation and consult with plan documents for coverage details
  • Determine whether the insurance policy covers the loss claimed
  • Send requests for additional information to passengers
  • Contact appropriate medical personal as needed to acquire medical information – via telephone and fax
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, explaining plan details and coverage questions
  • Make determination on outcome of claims (pay, deny, etc.)
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Prior customer service and analysis experience
  • Ability to obtain an H&A & P&C insurance license
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to focus and attention to detail
  • Good organization skills
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent ability to multi-task
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe Reader
  • Ability to type at least 35 wpm
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
  • Ability to work as a part of team as well as individually


Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
